Women Composer Wednesday - Jessica Jarvis


For this week's Women Composer Wednesday, we are proud to feature composer for film, TV, and advertising, Jessica Jarvis.




Jessica Jarvis is a Los Angeles based composer for film, TV, and advertising. She is known for blending dark ambient textures with traditional cinematic orchestral elements and vocals. She has contributed to numerous television shows and films such as Netflix's Good On Paper, starring Iliza Shlesinger, Amazon Prime’s Dangerous Book For Boys and the upcoming film National Champions, starring JK Simmons and Stephan James. She has also scored several ad campaigns for companies such as Zenoti and Facebook.


Currently, she is scoring George Washington University's Bicentennial Documentary Series. The first film in the series, narrated by Kerry Washington, premiered in February 2021 at their virtual opening ceremony, introduced by CNN's Dana Bash.


Jessica's exciting and recent project with the George Washington University on their Bicentennial Celebration Documentary Film Series will be released on October 2nd, 2021 so make sure to check out her amazing work!
