Amanda Jones

Amanda Jones is rapidly becoming a standout voice amongst a new generation of television and film composers. She scores OWN’s anthology series Cherish the Day, produced by AvaDuVernay; BET’s Twenties, produced by Lena Waithe; and Sujata Day’s upcoming feature film, Definition Please, starring Levar Burton. Jones' original music can also be heard on the episode “Maine” from Apple TV+’s documentary series Home; Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim's Adult Swim comedy series Beef House, for which she wrote the main title theme; HBO’s A Black Lady Sketch Show, produced by Robin Thede and Issa Rae; and more. 

In addition to her television credits, Jones has experience scoring both short and feature films. Notable credits include Menelek Lumumba’s award-winning drama 1 Angry Black Man; Andre Hormann’s documentary feature Ringside, for Showtime; Smriti Mundhra and Sami Khan’s Oscar-nominated documentary short St. Louis Superman; and more.
