Jessica Jenks was raised in New York by two hard-working entrepreneurs and grew roots in the rolling valleys of Argyle, NY, an agricultural community upstate. As a young girl, she took a strong interest in piano and spent much of her time daydreaming, writing songs or poetry, and listening closely to classical and popular music.  Her true passion was to create music set to melodic words. 

 

For the first 11 years of her life, and with no formal training, she would pick apart songs on her little Casio keyboard, whether it be a snippet of a classical piece from a coffee commercial on TV or a song on the radio, often humming or belting tunes whenever the urge struck. Formal training transformed her into a classical pianist & vocalist, and later she became a self-taught drummer, performer, beat designer and composer. Jessica spent her teen years developing her craft, running to her piano in the basement where she would play, compose and sing for hours after school or late into the night, envisioning how one day she would write a big song and end up on the radio or writing film music.

 

Today, Jessica is a solo-performer, singer-songwriter and composer of alternative/indie-electronic, eclectic EDM & orchestral arrangements in the film & television industry. She has been featured on radio stations around the world with interviews and airplay. As an entrepreneur for the past 17 years, she founded and manages Happy Keys Piano School, is a private music instructor and writes music for production and licensing companies.
